ROBIN AND MARION 8X12 PHOTO

  • Description: High Quality printed on archival photographic paper
  • Size: 8X12 inches
When Robin returns from the Crusades after King Richard, he faces the crazed King John, the Sheriff of Nottingham, and Marian who became a nun when he abandoned her.
Genre: Feature Film-Drama
Rating: PG
Release Date: 16-JUL-2002
Media Type: DVDThis underrated Richard Lester film is really a classic--and one of the most romantic movies ever made. Working from James Goldman's script, Lester casts Sean Connery as an aged Robin Hood, returned after years away at the Crusades with an increasingly mad King Richard (Richard Harris). Robin and Little John (a very funny Nicol Williamson) return to find that the sheriff of Nottingham (Robert Shaw) is up to his old nasty tricks--and that Maid Marian (Audrey Hepburn) is now a nun. Lester brings the same touch to this period f! ilm that he did to The Three Musketeers and The Four Musketeers, blending authenticity with a knowing wink at the conventions of period films. But the heart of this film is the very palpable emotion between Hepburn and Connery (and between Connery and Williamson). The ending is guaranteed three hankies, minimum. --Marshall FineThis underrated Richard Lester film is really a classic--and one of the most romantic movies ever made. When lion-hearted Richard ruled the roost
Of England, he decided that to boost
His regal reputation he should mount
A war to wrest from Turkish men the fount
Of Christendom; yet in that desert land
A zombie plague emerged from ’midst the sand.
A necromancer’s alchemistic spell
Reanimated corpses bound for Hell
(And even bound for Heaven’s pearly gate).

Soon after ’twas apparent that the fate
Of all on Earth--the evil and the good--
Was in the hands of Robin of the Hood
Whose outlaw men, along with Friar Tuck,
Against rampaging hordes of zombies struck.
They fought to save the likes of you and I,
Not caring that one slip might make them die.
Their t! ale lies here, within this humble book--
I pray you’ll spare the time to take a look.Medieval civilization was under threat from the undead.
